In keeping with our goal of providing our customers with the best possible value, we have tested a large group of components specifically designed for the 2005-10 Mustang GT 3 Valve Motor.

We have invested hundreds of hours evaluating and refining each of the new 4.6L 3V products on our MD Chassis DYNO, and at race tracks coast to coast to ensure that we would develop as much power as possible, and as safely as possible.

Direct Replacement high flow catted crossover X-pipe

So what's the advantage of installing a Pypes 2½ high flow catted X-pipe over other available models?

Simply said, crossover X-pipes create more power and torque than traditional H-pipe or the so called "pro chamber" technology. H-pipes no longer operate above 3000 rpm and become a non-functional component.

Pypes crossover X-Pipe feature 2½ mandrel bent, 409 Stainless Steel pipe designed to fit in the stock location. Flanges, mounting hardware, O2 sensor rings, reinforcement plates, air tubes and ball flare connections are all standard features and are designed to fit both stock manifolds, short headers, automatic or standard transmission. Installation is quite simple and should take no more than 1 hour to complete.

Why should you upgrade your factory stainless H-pipe?

The Mustang's factory H-pipe flows well, but loses its ability to merge exhaust gases above 3000 RPM and thus becomes a non-functional part of the exhaust system. The Mustang's factory OEM cats are adequate flow cats. Rather than replace your entire stainless H-pipe with a new one, Simply upgrade it with a pypes custom-made stainless X-pipe crossover.

Upgrading from the factory H-pipe to this stainless X-pipe will add a DYNO-proven 8 HP. This better "breathing" stainless steel X-pipe increases horsepower, torque and sound quality. Best of all, it can be added to your existing OEM-catted h-pipe by simply cutting the factory h-pipe in the appropriate spot and slipping this X-pipe over the existing pipes.

With a slip fit stainless steel band clamp connection, this is a simple slice-in/bolt-on kit, and installs in 45 minutes or less.

And, comparing aluminized steel to T-304 stainless steel is like comparing gold-plated metal to solid gold!
