Top off your 95 to 98 Mustang plug wire style Ignition system with a pair of Blaster replacement coils. These Blaster coils have MSD performance
in factory style housings! The windings and construction of this new coil are similar in performance
to the line of MSD Blaster-2 Coils. The coil has an increased turns ratio plus there is lower primary
resistance than the stock coil. This all amounts to a bolt-in replacement coil that produces more output voltage.
These coils will work with stock ignition systems as well as MSD equipped cars and trucks.

MSD DIGITAL DIS-4 Ignition Kit
|
DIGITAL DIS-4 Ignition. When Ford moved to the 4.6L Modular engine in the ’96 Mustang, there were two coil packs with four towers each set up as a Waste Spark.
MSD’s DIS Ignition Controls are designed for engines with coil pack, alos known as waste spark ignition systems. The DIS-4 is capable of firing up to four coil packs (also individual coils C0P style).
The DIS-4 Controler delivers full power Capacitive Discharge sparks from idle through racing rpm. Below 3,000 rpm there is a series of multiple sparks that last for
up to 20° to improve idle, starting and throttle response.
Dual Ignition Adapter Ford Coil-near-Plug Kit.
Since 1999, the Ford Modular Motor has used coil-near-plug technology. With turbos and nitrous, the need for a higher powered spark is a requirment. The answer is to install two MSD DIS-4 Ignition
Controls. To get the proper operation from the new Ignition Controls, you will also need two Dual Ignition Adapters.
Dual Ignition Adapters modify the trigger signal so all of the features on the car operate while the ignition receives the inputs it needs to fire the system.
Dual DIS-4 Installation Harness Kit.
MSD’s DIS-4 ignition systems installation on your coil-near-plug Ford wiring poses quite a challenge. To ease this install, MSD offers a wiring harness kit
that’ll make the install a direct plug-in! The MSD Dual DIS-4 harness provides a splice-free installation with connectors that plug directly into the factory unit.
They even have corresponding wire colors! When used in conjunction with two DIS-4 Ignitions and four Dual Ignition Adapters, PN 89121, your coil-near-plug Ford will receive all the spark it needs plus a two-step rev limit and step retard. And the best part, wiring will only take about an hour!
