We have invested many hours evaluating and refining each of the 4.6L Cobra products on our MD chassis DYNO, to ensure that we could develop as much power as possible, as safely as possible.

These Ford Racing gear sets will fit all GT and Cobra models from 1979 to 2009+. Ford Racing gear sets feature a strong forged construction for Race or Road-Race use. Ford Racing new manufacturing technology utilizes a
Face Hob Process which features a single pass pinion tooth machining operation compared to a conventional
three pass process for machining. CNC cut and lapped gear teeth.
Ford Racing gear sets includes basic accessories, such as shim kit. Ford Racing now offers a Ring & Pinion Installation
bearing kit that is recommended by most installers, especially on cars with mileage.
FYI: All Ford rear ends, 8.8 inch. gears will fit all Mustangs with the exception of V6 models which have the 7.5 inch rear end. |
These Motive Gears will fit all GT and Cobra
models from 1979 to 2009+. Motive uses these gears in high horsepower racecars with outstanding results.
Master bearing kit recommended by most installers for Motive Gears, especially on cars with mileage.
It would also be a great time to have your Trac-Lok rebuilt at the same time as your gears are being installed, see below for details.
FYI: Motive Performance gears are made with an extra strong race quality alloy. They also DO NOT have a reputation such as Richmond for "gear whine". |
