We have invested many hours evaluating and refining each of the 4.6L Cobra products on our MD chassis DYNO, to ensure that we could develop as much power as possible, as safely as possible.

Now owners of the 99-04 MUSTANG COBRA and MACH 1 models can now bolt-on major horsepower and torque increases while maintaining OEM quality and reliability for everyday street use.
SLP full-length Header and PowerFlo-X Crossover Pipe systems have delivered consistent gains of 28-38 rear wheel horsepower, and ft./lbs of torque when tested by such magazines as 5.0 and Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords.

Built from computer mandrel-bent 1 3/4" primaries and venturi-style velocity collectors, 3/8" thick laser-cut flanges, and standard polished ceramic finish, these systems deliver un-matched quality at very affordable prices. PowerFlo-X Crossover Pipe also available to make installation a direct bolt-in procedure.

SLP PowerFlo-X Crossover Pipe, Short Assembly 1996-04 4.6 SOHC/DOHC Mustang w/Cats

Free breathing and more power for your Mustang.
The perfect complement to the SLP long-tube headers and are an excellent complement to their "Loud Mouth" cat-back systems, these X-pipes use free-flowing mandrel-bent tubing and a genuine X crossover to provide a significant horsepower increase over the restrictive stock cat pipes. SLP gave them a three-piece
design for versatility and easy installation; and you can get them with or without high-flow catalytic converters, depending on your needs.

SLP Modular T-304 Stainless Steel Cat-Back Systems 1996-04 4.6 SOHC/DOHC Mustang
SLP Performance modular cat-back exhaust systems are built from aircraft-quality T-304 stainless steel -- stainless inside and out,
not mild steel, not aluminum, not coated aluminum, not just wrapped with stainless on the outside for show.
Coating techniques, such as aluminizing, can somewhat prolong the life of mild steel, but coatings suffer at
the weld points. And, comparing aluminized steel to T-304 stainless steel is like comparing gold-plated metal
to solid gold! T-304 stainless steel has the highest chromium content, making it the most resistant to corrosion, and therefore the most desirable
material for a long-lasting exhaust system. |
