Water/Methanol Injection Systems

The primary function or water/methanol injection is to provide ''chemical intercooling''. Methanol Injection suppresses detonation so more power producing boost can be utilized as with any intercooler. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to combustion.

• Stage-2 Diesel water/methanol injection system :
  1. This Stage-2 Diesel systems is designed for applications over 350 hp/35 psi boost. 2. This is the typical starting point for a mildly modified modern 3/4 or 1 ton truck with an aftermarket exhaust, intake and chip or programmer. It is capable enough for trucks running large or compound turbo systems as well. This kit allow for great horsepower increases and EGT reductions – expect about 70hp and 250 degree F EGT drop.

• Stage-3 Diesel water/methanol injection system :
  1. This Stage-3 Diesel system offers 2 levels of Stage 3 Boost Cooler™ available, one for lower boost (up to 25psi) and one for higher boost (up to 100psi) 2. Computerized In-cab controller senses not only manifold boost pressure but also exhaust gas temperatures keeping the EGTs as low as possible during towing – if they begin to climb, even if the boost stays constant, the Stage 3 controller will read this and inject more water-methanol to compensate. The In-cab controller provides readouts for EGT, Boost and Water-Methanol Injection so at a glance you can see what is going on with your engine without the need for any additional gauges. Finally, there is an adjustment knob on the controller allowing for tuning changes from the driver’s seat on-the-fly. There is even a switch on the controller to allow it to operate off of just boost pressure (ignoring the EGT input).
