The McLaren 720S valvetronic titanium exhaust is the ultimate upgrade for drivers who refuse to compromise between raw track performance and street-legal refinement. By utilizing premium-grade titanium, Fabspeed has engineered a system that significantly reduces rear-end weight while optimizing exhaust scavenging for increased power.

The McLaren exhaust system transforms the 720S’s acoustic profile, providing a versatile soundtrack that ranges from a sophisticated hum to an aggressive, high-pitched supercar scream.

Features of McLaren 720S Valvetronic Titanium Exhaust

The McLaren 720s valvetronic titanium exhaust is defined by its precision engineering and use of exotic materials. Unlike standard stainless steel alternatives, this system is designed to handle the intense heat cycles of the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 while offering a distinct aesthetic and weight advantage.

• Premium Titanium Construction: The use of high-quality titanium alloys reduces total vehicle weight by nearly 50% compared to the factory exhaust. This reduction in “hang-off” weight behind the rear axle directly improves turn-in response and overall handling dynamics.

• Valvetronic Technology: Dual-style acoustic personalities are at your fingertips. The vacuum-actuated valves integrate seamlessly with the factory McLaren drive modes, allowing for a quiet, drone-free cabin during highway cruising and a wide-open, straight-pipe roar under heavy acceleration.

• Optimized Gas Flow: The internal geometry of the McLaren 720s valvetronic titanium exhaust is smoothed to minimize backpressure. This allows the turbochargers to spool faster, resulting in sharper throttle response and measurable gains in horsepower and torque.

• Signature Aesthetics: The natural finish of the titanium develops a stunning blue and purple patina over time, visible through the rear mesh of the 720S, signaling a high-performance motorsport pedigree.

Installation Guide for McLaren 720S Titanium Exhaust

Installing the McLaren 720s valvetronic titanium exhaust is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM muffler. While no cutting or welding is required for the McLaren MP4-12C valvetronic tips , professional installation is recommended due to the complexity of the 720S rear bodywork.

1. Vehicle Preparation: Secure the vehicle on a lift. Remove the rear engine service cover and the rear bumper assembly to expose the factory exhaust mounting points and turbo v-band clamps.

2. Component Removal: Remove the McLaren 720s Valvetronic downpipes and the factory muffler from the heavy-duty rubber hangers.

3. Installing the Fabspeed Exhaust: Carefully slide the new McLaren 720s valvetronic titanium exhaust into position. It is vital to use clean gloves during this step to prevent skin oils from staining the titanium during its first heat cycle.

4. Hardware Alignment: Secure the v-band clamps and ensure the exhaust tips are perfectly centered within the rear fascia. Reconnect the vacuum lines to the Fabspeed valves to restore valvetronic functionality.

5. Final Inspection: Start the engine and check for leaks at the flanges. Once verified, reinstall the rear bumper and heat shielding, ensuring no components are in direct contact with the new exhaust piping.
